200h Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training 2025 WITH Rozel Gonzales

200-hour Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training with Energie EnCorps owner, Rozel Gonzales (RYT 500)Whether you are interested in becoming a certified yoga teacher or are simply interested in deepening your personal practice, this course is for you. This 11-month course promises an amazing journey with like-minded souls ready for personal development and growth in Body, Mind, and Spirit. Rozel Biography:Rozel Gonzales, owner of Energie Encorps, brings over 20 years of teaching experience to this teacher training. A traditionally trained Ashtanga instructor, Rozel teaches with compassion and an open heart, truly there to encourage her students to grow in body, mind, and spirit... teaching from the understanding that yoga is for all. Rozel is passionate about continuous learning and travels each year to attends teacher training, workshops and classes to deepen her practice. Grateful for the teachers in her life, Mark and Shankara Darby and Manju Jois, son of the late Ashtanga guru, Pattabhi Jois, Rozel continues to evolve and change as she meets other amazing teachers along her lifelong journey. In 2017 Rozel became a registered massage therapist and was Roll Model trained to incorporate myofascial release with Yoga TuneUp therapy balls. Each year she is committed to learning more to bring back to her students and to the studio. In 2020, Rozel became an internationally recognized yoga teacher now offering classes on the global OmStars platform in collaboration with Kino MacGregor. Topics to be covered: (Bilingual instruction) The basis of Ashtanga Yoga, sourcing from the Roots. Breath and Vinyasa: Learning the mechanism of breath and its effect on the physical body, on the emotional body, and on the mental body Bandha and posture: Optimizing and understanding bandhas and their effect on one’s body. Bringing this understanding to the various asanas with a clear purpose of circulating the energy flow in the body. Anatomy of Asana: Basic and functional concepts applicable to yoga asana. In-depth analysis of postural alignment. Pranayama: Learn how to introduce basic breathing for any level. Introduction to Meditation: Bringing a meditative state to all our practices, various approaches will be explored. Yoga Philosophy: Readings and discussion on ancient yogic scriptures. Understanding the roots of the yoga practice. Adapting the FLO: Learn to create and structure Vinyasa flows based on Ashtanga for different levels of participants. Modifications: Learn to modify postures to adapt to beginners or students with physical limitations, always keeping safety as the number one priority. Learning to teachThe second half of the year will focus on sharing your practice with others and gaining confidence as a teacher. Peer teaching: Through peer teaching, we will learn about cueing, choice of words, tone of voice, and music selection. Adjustments: Hours of partner work will be spent on learning how to read the imbalances of your students and how to make the proper adjustments in a safe manner, either through verbal cues or manual adjustments. Therapeutic touch: incorporation of simple massage techniques and therapeutic touch as per Manju Jois' training. Going beyond the mat...Our goal is to open your eyes to yoga but also to other related practices that offer holistic approaches to wellness and related topics. 300H Advanced Teacher Mentorship 2025 WITH Rozel Gonzales

The Energie EnCorps yoga mentorship program is designed for anyone who has already completed the Energie EnCorps 200h Yoga Teacher Training and is serious about putting into practice the skills they have learned over the course of the year, in a welcoming and open, community environment. Completing a 200h teacher training program for some people is really only the tip of the iceberg. For many, the first year is simply about absorbing information, being introduced to new ideas and an opportunity to try to learn something new for the first time.As with all things, to become good at something it requires practice and a good mentor to guide you along the way. The YTT mentorship program allows the student to actively participate in current year Ashtanga Vinyasa 200h YTT as a senior student. In this new role, the mentor will be given the opportunity to absorb the subtleties of the practice from a more experienced standpoint and have the chance to practice teaching all they have learned to the new trainees. Every YTT weekend mentees will be partnered with new students allowing them to play an active role in supporting their development. Mentees will be assigned topics to discuss, teach or sharing their experiences with those who are just started. This gives mentees the chance to deepen their knowledge, receive practical experience, and build their confidence. (Bilingual instruction) As a senior student, the emphasis will be on the following: alignment correction hands-on adjustments vinyasa sequencing incorporation of touch (relaxation massage, touch for breath awareness) leading pranayama and meditation restorative yoga exercises and drills to lead up to postures arm-balancing and inversions incorporation of philosophy into dialogue strengthening of verbal cueing and body language managing class environments Guest presenters: Our training will also include guest presenters: Joelle Bekhazi, Osteopath - Yoga + Anatomy Lisa Purdie, Occupational Therapist - Yoga + Anatomy Bhaskar Goswami, Meditation Teacher - Yoga Mythology Other guest teachers... PRACTICE AND FEEDBACK Senior students will have the opportunity to teach regular karma classes on the Energie EnCorps schedule, individually or in a team setting. Each mentee will work with the lead instructor to discuss what their individual goals are with respect to their practice. Homework will be assigned each month based on the mentee's individual interests. Breakdown of hours The 300h YTT consists of 200 in-class hours in addition to hours dedicated to homework, karma class, monthly touchpoint meetings with the lead instructor as well as hours dedicated to personal practice. 50h Seniors + Adapted Chair Yoga Teacher Training Course Welcome to our specialized Seniors & Adapted Chair Yoga Teacher Training Program, led by Anne Archambault. This program is divided into two distinct modules, and is ideal for anyone interested in starting to work with this specialized population. With the aging population on the rise, this training offers an excellent opportunity to specialize in this field. Obtaining the proper certification ensures that you are well-prepared to work with this group and meet professional standards required by insurers.   Module One:  All Abilities- Seated Ambulatory Overview: This module is designed to equip Yoga Teachers, healthcare professionals, and senior fitness instructors with the tools to offer adaptive chair yoga for individuals with varying levels of mobility. You will learn to tailor yoga practices for seniors, individuals recovering from injuries, and those managing physical challenges or age-related conditions. Learning Outcomes, after this workshop participants will:Understand the fundamentals of adaptive chair yoga. Identify target populations and recognize the benefits of chair yoga. Learn basic concepts of age-related changes and normal aging. Adapt yoga poses for various abilities through pose analysis and modifications. Use chairs and props to enhance safety and accessibility. Develop class templates for different ability levels. Content:Introduction to Chair Yoga: Key benefits and target populations. Basic rehabilitation concepts, age-related changes, and normal aging. Core sensations as a foundation for adaptive practices. Safety protocols and effective use of props. Class sequencing and practical teaching techniques. Case studies and real-world applications. Module Two - Mobility Cognitive Challenges: Seated non ambulatory Overview: In this module, we focus on creating engaging and effective yoga sequences for individuals with severe mobility challenges (using wheelchairs/walkers) or neurodegenerative conditions, including Alzheimer’s. You will learn to adapt chair yoga for people with strokes, paralysis, Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis, dementia, and other conditions. This module emphasizes understanding and empathy, providing strategies to enhance the quality of life through yoga. Learning Outcomes, after this workshop participants will: Gain insights into mobility and neurodegenerative challenges.   Identify key benefits of chair yoga for the muscles and nervous system. Create safe and accessible sequences for individuals with advanced needs. Develop class templates tailored to mobility and cognitive challenges. Foster engagement and enjoyment in chair yoga classes.   Content: Introduction to mobility and cognitive challenges. Adapting chair yoga for strokes, dementia, paralysis, Parkinson’s, and multiple sclerosis. Core sensations as a key strategy for engagement. Safety considerations and environment preparation. Teaching techniques for individuals using wheelchairs or unable to stand. Class sequencing and brain health strategies. Practical teaching techniques and case studies.   About Anne, M.Ed. , E-RYT-500 - Chair Yoga Specialist: Anne Archambault is a seasoned Yoga instructor passionate about making yoga accessible to all. First trained in 1984, Anne has since earned her E-RYT 500 certification and holds a Massage Therapy certification. She is a part-time faculty member at Concordia University, teaching Recreation Therapy for over 24 years. Anne’s journey into Chair Yoga began in clinical settings, working with seniors, individuals recovering from brain injuries, and those facing mobility challenges. She blends her expertise as a therapist, teacher, and yogi to create an inclusive, empowering environment. Anne’s workshops are designed for both Yoga Teachers and healthcare professionals, offering practical knowledge and techniques to bring adaptive yoga to diverse populations. Pre-requisite: Completion of a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training program, or a background in healthcare (e.g., PAB - préposée aux bénéficiaires, RT (Recreation Therapist), OT (Occupational Therapist). Certification: 25 hours YACEP certification upon completion of Module 1. 50hours YACEP certification upon completion of Module 1 and 2. Course Breakdown:   Total hours per module: 25 hours (12.5 hours in-class, 12.5 hours independent study). Activities include lectures, practical sessions, group discussions, case studies, and teaching practice during an open house.
