Reiki

Relax with a Reiki session

The word Reiki is derived from two Japanese words: rei and ki. Rei means “higher power” or “spiritual power.” Ki means “energy.” Put together, Reiki can be loosely translated as “spiritual life force energy.” Reiki is about creating the space and time for relaxation and rejuvenation of our-selves. So that we can truly identify our emotions, physical problems and see blocks within our body. A reiki healer will use their hands to deliver and direct universal energy into your body and auric field to shift energy that no longer serves us and invite loving, gentle and relaxing energy to balance and sooth your chakras and energy body.

You can see a reiki practitioner for any health topic that you are working on where you feel like you need energetic support to complement your existing strategies.Clients that have a reiki session generally state that they feel relaxed and lighter and may take a few weekly sessions in a row or as a monthly/quarterly maintenance to get some relaxing me time!

Reiki at Energie Encorps is covered by health insurance under naturotherapy.

Reiki consultations are available in person or at a distance, virtually. Links to be provided upon registration.

Reiki massage. Energy work.
What happens in a reiki session?

Patients are fully clothed and can be worked on lying down on a massage table.  The Reiki practitioners may lay hands, and through touch create the opportunity to direct energy to areas of the body that are in need of positive energy. The practitioner may appropriately touch parts of your body, although it is not always necessary to deliver energy.  If there are areas of the body that are sensitive please let your therapist know prior to our session. Ultimately any healing or release is always done by the client not the practitioner, a reiki practitioner’s role is to hold the space for your own self discovery and releasing of what no longer serves you so you can feel relaxed or re-energize.

When a treatment starts, the reiki practitioner starts by scanning the body and going through the chakra system as a guide (you may have seen a picture of chakras in our yoga studio). Our sessions can also incorporate the use of crystals, our therapists will choose the right ones for you based on your needs.  During the session you may feel different sensations, hot, cold, tingling or nothing at all – you may even fall asleep.  At the end of the session you can debrief and share your experiences with your reiki practitioner and with your permission they can share their interpretations of the energy session.
