Secrets of the Spine: The Key to Flexibility with Marque Garaux
 
The way you move today, greatly affects the way you will move tomorrow. The average individual on any given day will move their spine into flexion far more than they will move it into extension. Our daily activities and gravity are moving us forward at such a highly repetitive rate that the soft tissues connected to the spine will inevitably weaken over time, at some point the spine will lose it’s natural S curve, and we will be left with a chronic pain that makes us want to move less and less. This is all avoidable if you learn to balance your flexion and extension on your mat and carry that into your daily life.

About Marque:

Marque Garaux, a US Marine veteran and outdoor enthusiast, discovered Ashtanga Yoga to relieve his lower back pain. Inspired by the profound physical and life changes it brought, he pursued further training, including a 200-hour teacher certification and multiple Ashtanga workshops. In 2015, Marque studied under R. Sharath Jois at the K. Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute (KPJAYI) in Mysore, India, and earned Level 2 Authorization in 2017. As the owner of Great Lakes Ashtanga Yoga, based in Geneva, Ohio, Marque offers a full Mysore program and now travels internationally, sharing his passion for Ashtanga Yoga through workshops and retreats.Dates:

  • Saturday, September 20th, 2025, at 2:30-4:30 pm
Price: $80 per Workshop or $560 for the entire weekend

REFUND POLICY

  • 100% refunds before August 19th, less a 30% fee.
  • 50% refunds between August 20th - September 3rd
  • No refunds after September 4th

Pre-registration is required. Full payment is required to reserve your spot in the workshop. Spaces are limited. Only 40 spaces are available. 

Important event logistics:

    • Please arrive early. Doors open 1 hour before check-in at reception before every workshop
    • Bring your own materials and props (mat, blocks, water bottle)
