Led by Anne Archambault (M.Ed., E-RYT-500, Chair Yoga Specialist), the 50-hour program is divided into two 25-hour modules focused on seated ambulatory and non-ambulatory populations.
Anne Archambault is a seasoned Yoga instructor passionate about making yoga accessible to all. First trained in 1984, Anne has since earned her E-RYT 500 certification and holds a Massage Therapy certification. She is a part-time faculty member at Concordia University, teaching Recreation Therapy for over 25 years.
Anne’s journey into Chair Yoga began in clinical settings, working with seniors, individuals recovering from brain injuries, and those facing mobility challenges. She blends her expertise as a therapist, teacher, and yogi to create an inclusive, empowering environment. Anne’s workshops are designed for both Yoga Teachers and healthcare professionals, offering practical knowledge and techniques to bring adaptive yoga to diverse populations.

This program is designed for yoga teachers, healthcare professionals (such as physiotherapists, nurses, RTs, OTs, and PABs), fitness instructors, and caregivers who want to specialize in working with seniors and individuals with mobility or cognitive challenges. It is ideal for anyone looking to enter or expand into this growing field.
You will be equipped to safely and effectively teach adaptive Chair Yoga to a wide range of populations, including seniors, individuals recovering from injury, and those living with mobility or neurodegenerative conditions such as Parkinson’s, stroke, dementia, and MS. You will also be able to create structured, accessible class plans tailored to different ability levels.
A 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training is recommended, but not mandatory if you have a healthcare or fitness background (such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy, recreation therapy, or certified fitness instruction). The program is designed to support both yoga and healthcare professionals.
Cancellations are accepted until February 15, 2026, and are subject to a 30% administrative fee plus applicable taxes.
After February 16, 2026, no refunds will be issued under any circumstances.
