Secrets of the Spine WITH Marque Garaux

Date: September 20 2025 TO September 20 2025 From: 2:30 PM TO 4:30 PM

Secrets of the Spine: The Key to Flexibility with Marque Garaux   The way you move today, greatly affects the way you will move tomorrow. The average individual on any given day will move their spine into flexion far more than they will move it into extension. Our daily activities and gravity are moving us forward at such a highly repetitive rate that the soft tissues connected to the spine will inevitably weaken over time, at some point the spine will lose it’s natural S curve, and we will be left with a chronic pain that makes us want to move less and less. This is all avoidable if you learn to balance your flexion and extension on your mat and carry that into your daily life. About Marque: Marque Garaux, a US Marine veteran and outdoor enthusiast, discovered Ashtanga Yoga to relieve his lower back pain. Inspired by the profound physical and life changes it brought, he pursued further training, including a 200-hour teacher certification and multiple Ashtanga workshops. Jump Back and Jump Through with Joseph Armstrong WITH Joseph Armstrong

Date: May 17 2026 TO May 17 2026 From: 11:00 AM TO 1:00 PM

Jump Back and Jump Through with Joseph Armstrong In this class, Joseph Armstrong breaks down the subtle body mechanics that make graceful transitions possible, then leads students through drills designed to build a connection to their foundation and the strength needed to float. He explores both the fundamentals of these movements and how they relate to more advanced arm balances. Joseph recalls telling his own teacher that his arms were too short to lift up and jump back—a memory that now brings a knowing smile when he hears similar doubts from his own students. This class is designed to leave participants feeling empowered, with the understanding that while the journey may be challenging, the ability to jump back is within reach. About Joseph Armstrong Joseph Armstrong is an Authorized level 2 teacher. He teaches yoga with feet planted firmly in tradition and gaze turned towards the future. His search for a more present and peaceful life first led him to the practice in 2008. A few years later he was in India, studying intensively. After finally overcoming a long struggle with addiction, Joseph began experimenting with Ashtanga Yoga. He understood quickly that the lineage was calling to him to deepen his practice. He underwent a 2 year apprenticeship program at the world renowned Miami Life Center, continuing his education under his teachers Tim Feldman and Kino MacGregor. In 2016 he completed 2 months of study in Mysore under Sharath Jois. 2017 brought Joseph to Guatemala where he taught Mysore Style for over a year while also traveling and giving workshops in Europe and the Americas. He currently lives in Florida and is the Director of the world renowned Miami Life Center. Joseph teaches yoga because attempts to do any and everything else ended disastrously. But when he finally devoted himself to hispassion, he became an asset to himself and others. He hopes his practice allows him to be ever more loving and to exist gently.
